Adventure: Even Better!
« on: May 10, 2010, 11:23:32 AM »
First of all, I want to say, Carl, this is an amazing site and forum! I've learned a lot and I can't wait to apply it!

Now, to the point: I have been stuck on this stupid adventure forever, I can't seem to find the correct "unique" recipe ANYWHERE on the Internet!!! (How is this possible? I have no idea!) Can someone please please please help me? My 11-month-old twins are going to think Mommy is crazy when I start banging my head on the laptop.. haha.

Thanks!!!! Keep up the good work everyone!! SIM ON!!!!!

Welcome to our Forum!

Can you give us a little more information about this particular adventure and what exactly you're trying to do?  I don't recognize it from what you've said so far.

The adventure is one in France, I completed the "A Little Experimentation" a little while back. They are both nectar-making adventures. It says I have to bring 3 bottles of "Very Nice" or better nectar to the lady who works there, but thanks to the last update, there is now a specific recipe, so I can't just bring any 3 bottles back.

Really?  A specific recipe?  That's the first I've heard of it.  I remember that adventure and it said to make nectar using the fruits you are given, but I've never heard of a specific recipe.  Let me do some checking.

Edit:  I don't see anything about a nectar recipe on the information for the last update.  Would you mind copying and pasting the exact text that you're getting for this advernture?  That might help.

I've done this adventure a few times.  The first time, my sim was given limes to use.  The other times, I couldn't tell what they had been given as the sims had other fruit in their inventory.  I went with the limes anyway, and they worked.

Do you really think there's a specific recipe needed for this adventure, samoht?

Ok.  I thought maybe you had some information about the adventure requiring a specific recipe now.  I'm still not certain that anything specific is needed.  I'm hoping the original poster gives more information so we can figure out exactly what's going on.

The only recipe questions I get are the one of 'bring me this and that recipe in that quality' what will suit well with the nectar I came up with before.
Maybe you where just confusing the quality that was needed, in stead of a typical recipe?

I remember doing that adventure also and do not remember a specific recipe.  Not sure what the fruits were either, but no recipe.

I remember that adventure. There was no specific recipe. You were only told to include the lime in your recipe... but now you're saying that you need a specific recipe. I do not know of such specific recipe. Did you start the adventure before you updated? If you did, try cancelling the adventure and taking it up again.

I appreciate all the replies, even though now I feel like an idiot. My sim family is currently hard at work on their garden, so I guess I'll wait til I have a batch of "very nice" or better limes to make the nectar and try again. It seems from your posts that the lime is the correct thing. I must have just gotten confused from the Sims update back in December when it said "The 'A Little Experimentation' and 'Even Better!' adventures now have unique requirements." I will try again, and let you know how it goes. Thanks again for all your help!!!!
