Nraas Register

I have been having problems with my game lagging ever since I installed Pets. I have a really good computer with a great graphics card and a lot of RAM, etc. I had tried so many different things, including some of Twallan's Mods which I really loved, but nothing was helping. My game was getting unplayable. Tonight I was just poking around the Nraas site and found that there was a setting on Register to set the number of stray animals and paparazzi in your town. Problem solved!!!!!! Twallan is my new best friend

I have some of twallan's mods, and I love the sound of that little trick you found. Is "Register" one of the mods, or a setting, or something? How exactly did you get to that?

I found it by searching his site for stray pets and someone was discussing it. Register is a mod and if you go http://nraas.wikispaces.com/Register+Phase+Six+Interactions it tells you all the interactions of the mod. Clicking on City Hall --> Nraas --> Register brings up a menu. If you click on Animal Control you can change the number of strays animals by type that the game creates, such as deer, raccoon, unicorns, etc. I set them all to zero since I don't really care if there are stray animals tearing up my paper. I figured if I ever wanted to see a unicorn I would just go back in and up the unicorns and stray horses. Then I noticed a Paparazzi setting, so I set them to false and clicked Remove Paparazzi, which removed the existing ones. No more Paparazzi! I am so excited to play my game again because the lagging was really, really frustrating!

Twallan's mods have made my game very pleasant. I set the ratio of vampires, the number of pets and kids, and since my sim is a star, I leave the paparazzi. Doesn't bother me.
