Game launcher not working properly? Please help?

When I try to open the launcher, this happens.

• I have a mac.
• I have the base game, high-end loft stuff, Latenight and Ambitions installed.
• When I try to uninstall, it just gives me the option to overwrite what I've already installed.

This started happening after I installed Ambitions.

• I installed Ambitions on my mothers' PC, and it works fine on there.

Are you up to date on the absolute latest update ?  Have you used the Sims 3 uninstaller under Applications > The Sims 3 to remove everything and then install?  When you reinstall do you remember to install Ambitions before Late Night?
