Toddlers Imaginary friend disappeared!

This has happened before, and I didn't save my game and start all over where I was able to get the Imaginary friend back. But this time, I'm not able to get it back. Is there a way to getting a new one or getting the old one back?

It can happen if you reset a toddler while the doll is in their inventory. There isn't a way to get it back, I'm afraid.

I'm randomly losing the doll in my DecaDynasty.  I haven't figured out what's causing it.  I'm not sure if I reset the toddlers, but it just disappears from their inventories.  No way to get it back.

I've had this happen to me too! Sometimes after a vacation (either destination or the Free Vacation! that adults get when there's a teen in the household) but that's not the only time. I wonder if klepto maids have anything to do with it?
