Cash registers not working?
« on: August 31, 2012, 04:21:45 PM »
I'm not sure if this question should go here or in the CAW board, so sorry if I posted it in the wrong place but I have no idea if this is a CAW thing or a general Sims problem.

I'm creating a new version of Riverview with CAW. In Edit in Game I created a marketplace and placed a book register there. I also made a coffeshop and a bar and places food registers there. Now I exported the world to test it, but none of the cash registers is actually working. They are closed 24/7 and my sims can't interact with them. At first I thought it was because the world isn't populated yet so it basically didn't have anyone to work there, but there are bar tenders! So... any ideas? I never build community lots so I have no idea if you have to do something specific (like a cheat or whatever) to make a register work?

Thanks!

Cash registers are worked by Townies (Sims that live in the town), whereas mixologists are NPCs... wait and see if, when the town populates (it shouldn't take more than a few days if there are houses for them to move into), and see if that solves it...
