Cannot use new broom

So i bought the thunderbolt, Nimbus 2000 (u kno...the fastest broom in the game). Got a stand for it and everything...she still uses the default broom. I even made my new broom the preferred broom
 I have no mods...any ideas?

I would suggest restarting the game. Also you can reset the Sim with ResetSim Firstname Lastname or try ResetSim * this reset will reset the whole town.

Might also try moving the broom to your sims inventory and see if they will use it from there

Sell the default broom and make the new broom the preferred vehicle ;)

But is the default broom sellable? I played a witch today and he had no broom in his inventory by default, only his wand (which I replaced with an Iridescent one ;D)
