Notify me by Email Option?

I think you have an option to get notified for your own posts but is it possible to have it for other posts as well?

Yes, I know it's possible because I get all posts in my email.  But I'll have to do some research to see how to set it up because I've forgotten.  Another good way to see all new posts is to click on "Show unread posts since last visit" right under the forum banner on the left, next to your avatar.  I use that constantly.

So do I but I find it easier if I have an email notification for a topic I am interested in, it also takes me straight there.

Well, for a certain topic I think you just click notify at the top  (blue bar above first post) and the forum will toss you an email when there's a reply to that topic. If you want it selectively that's the way it's done. I won't go into figuring out how to get something for every topic since you say it's the 'ones you're interested in'. Hope this helps.

Edit: That's absolutely the way it's done. There's a tab on profile that lets you delete notifications you've set up. Simplemachines Forum is so big I don't know all of it even after months

Ahh, so that is what that "notify" tab is for, see, I learned something new.  I still getting use to all the other tabs, lol.
