Ooh, bad move Ben, your watcher could have removed that door completely with you in the room if she were feeling sadistic enough. Of course we both know she won't do that, but I could see her putting a fun object behind a locked gate or door just to annoy you instead, and I wouldn't blame her.

Olivia

Olivia sighs as she gazes into the mirror at the reflection looking back at her. 



She turns her head this way and that, trying out various expressions and gestures. 









She rehearses her words, trying to get the delivery just right. 





It's not easy.  She needs to speak in a higher pitch than she's accustomed to, but not so high that it sounds falsetto or squeaky. 



She walks back and forth in front of the walls of mirrors, studying how she looks coming and going.



Should she stroll insolently, strut arrogantly, slouch indifferently, stride briskly?  So many choices, and only one chance to get it right. 



She sighs again.  If only she could be anyplace but here.  The danger is immense.  If she's found out, the penalty will be merciless.  Olivia has faced physical danger before, though.  It's not the possible threat to her life that is causing icy cold dread to run in her veins.  She is about to give the performance of her life.  And her life, along with possibly those of others, depends on her getting it right.  No understudy, no-one to feed her her lines, no-one to adjust her clothes or repair her make-up.  No director to call "Cut!" and let her restart.  Just her.  All alone.  With an audience that will either love her or - she stops herself.  No point in thinking of that.  She has a duty to perform, and it's time.  Olivia picks up her purse, steels herself, and walks out the door.



Note:  Olivia's two-piece dress is by Grimsoul, whose pattern looks quite stunning on such an elegant lady.  Well, it is a lovely pattern, but I suspect it was never intended to be used quite this way.  Grimsoul's Pattern

Swallows, Ravens, Birdbrains

And what, Olivia wonders sourly, was the tradecraft term for men pretending to be women seducing intelligence targets?  Birdbrains, no doubt.  How on earth she had ever allowed herself to be talked into this harebrained scheme - well, all she could do was try.  "Definitely playing against type," she mutters as she leaves the yacht.



As she drives, Olivia mentally reviews what she knows about her target.  Darren Lott.  Resident of Starlight Shores, vacationing in Sunlit Tides.  Believed to have information about the unexplained money transactions Olivia is assigned to investigate.  Lott is employed as an office boy, but with definite criminal tendencies.  Known to be evil, charismatic, and a schmoozer.  Has one major weakness, which Olivia is hoping to exploit:  he fancies himself as a heartbreaker.  "Flirts with anything in skirts," was how De Luca had put it.  "All you have to do is bat your eyelashes at him - May, make a note:  false eyelashes - and he'll be drooling at your feet.  We hope.  You consider yourself such a successful flirt - well, here's your chance to prove it and do something useful with your flirting."  Lott is also reputed to be a great kisser, Olivia remembers, shuddering, hoping it won't come to that.  "Well, at least he's commitment-phobic," she consoles herself, not wanting to think of the alternative.  Darren Lott has been seen at all the hot spots in Sunlit Tides, tooling around in his red convertible.



Olivia drives to one of Darren's hang-outs and settles in to wait.



As she sips her beverage, other people start arriving.
 


Girls!  Girls in bathing suits!  Hot girls!  Wow!  Uh - Olivia reminds herself "I'm a girl, I'm a girl - oh, blast it, I'm a girl!"  She watches as Darren drives up, parks his convertible, and starts strolling toward her.
 
Remember bragging about being the "master of disguise?"  Here's your chance to prove it, Olivia.  Showtime!
