Can't Save My Game!

Everytime I try to save, save as, exit and save, etc. It will pop up with an error message. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?

What's the error message your getting?

Are you using Seasons? If you're using Seasons and you enter build buy mode, it's know to crash on save.

In live mode I pause the game and then choose any of the options and try to save it. It will try to save and then give me an error message! I do not know what is say's exactly or the error number it gives me.

It is giving me an Error Code: 12

I know on mine, when I get error 12, it is a bad save.  You have to go into your saves folder, there are two files, one backup and one save, with your games name.  The regular save might have .bad on the end. You have to delete that folder or move to desktop, for the time being.  Right click on the backup file and just backspace and get rid of "backup", for example, from this "hamming.sims3.backup", to hamming.sims3.  When you start your game, it will save a new backup and you will start from a previous save.

I use to get the error code 12 all the time. But I found a solution that worked for me.
It's for a Windows 32-bit system. I posted it here. I haven't had another error code 12 sense making this change back in March 2012.

Thank you Saltypaws. The save did have .bad on the end and so I will try this.

grimsoul if the previous solution don't work, I do have a 32-bit system and I will try yours.

Grimsoul is right though, but, I did get an error 12 on my new computer and it is a 64 bit with plenty of memory, so it was a bad save on mine.  I guess there a few reasons why your computer gets an error 12.

I had exactly the same thing today! Deleting the saves with .bad (the last 2) and the one before that did the trick for me. I think there was a bug in the last normal save.
