Pets 3 sniffing

I'm on the ps3 trying to do the mystery challenges up to dog days of summer and don't know how to complete the sniff out the wise one I don't know how to sniff other pets please help my dog is almost maxed out on digging/ sniffing skill

It's a social option I believe.   When having your dog activated, click on another dog and under friendly choose "sniff".  You might have the option later when their soclal is higher, like they're friends or something.
