I like how they call each other "Bliss" and "Moon". It's very Jock to use the last names, but because of what the names are, also very romantic. I really like this story! It's making me want to play one myself.

Edit: I just read the newest update! You are writing this so fast. Eeee! So dramatic!

So glad I checked unread posts one last time before bed! I'm so excited to see the latest update. I'm such a fan, hehe.

I just knew (or strongly hoped) Branch would get the guts to do something like that. Hmmmm... the cliff-hanger ending, though! So, how did you, as the player, get Anoki to town? Oh, I guess maybe you invited him over? I wasn't sure if you could invite college mates over but I guess you can, duh.

Oh, I was wondering about Branch -- does he come with the game or is he a character you created? I think there is definitely more to him than meets the eye and he's becoming one of my favorites. Of course, I like everyone so maybe I can't pick a favorite, hehe.

Oh, and Lila is so pretty! I adore her freckles and her lilac eyes.

Let me get that one. Branch is a glorious original townie in Moonlight Falls. By the way, Tilia, don't let him get too skinny. I like Branch to stay a little portly. It suits him. Especially in that suit!

Ahh, thanks! I've only played Moonlight Falls a little bit and it was a character I created. I'll have to explore and check out Branch a little more.

This story is the first thread I've bookmarked.  I'm hooked.

From a game mechanics pov, what went on with Daisy's first term?  Did she try all studying instead of skilling up in the relevant skills?  How many credits did she take?  Did she get her business degree albeit with a C average, or did she really abandon it?

Haha, I went on kind of a spree.  I tried to play last night, but every time I attempt to expand the house, the game crashes.  However, the house is far too small for them.  Dunno what I'm going to do there...  So glad you're reading :)

I was thinking how weird it'd be to see Branch around next time I play Moonlight Falls.  He now definitely feels like my own Sim.  I honestly was surprised that Emmy let him kiss her.  He popped a wish to when she was dancing and I thought, "eh, why not?"  Now I have no idea where I'm going with this.

Lila is such a cutie.  I'm going to miss her as a toddler.  I wish more Sims were born with freckles!  Just called and invited Anoki over, like with a foreign friend.  He arrived at 9am the next day.

Wouldn't dare.

Yay!  Always so lovely to hear :-D

Uni is my favorite expansion since Generations.  I'm really loving it.  The tagging is my favorite!  (in short, buy it  ;))

That's awesome!  I'm so glad you're enjoying it.  This just reminded me that I need to add it to my signature.  I have no idea what was up with Daisy's grades in the first term.  By all means, she should've been acing everything.  I've read that there really is an "unfair professor" function in the game that you can protest against to stop the harsh grading.  It's the only explanation I can think of.

Right now, Daisy has partial degrees finished for Fine Arts and for Business.  She will have to finish 3 full degrees to meet the requirements of the challenge.

Did you bring Branch in as a roommate or as an actual member of the household?

Can't wait to get this installed and try one of these projects for myself.  Is travel allowed?  A semester abroad, perhaps?

He is moved in as a member of the household.  The outfit had to go, plus, i'm not sure if you can leave a baby with just a random roommate.

Travel is completely allowed.

Be sure to link me when you start it!

Daisy

We woke up on Sunday morning to emphatic giggling and conversation outside the door.  I had planned to announce my engagement today, but I want that happy moment to be mine alone.  Besides, it was nice to see Anoki!

We all went to the cafe for lunch, though both Branch and Emmy were acting very strange.  Today was the day the housing contractors were due to come rebuild the cottage, and with Anoki in town, everyone should've been giddy.  Ah well.  We chatted outside of the cafe for a while before Emmy took off with Anoki to show him around Moonlight Falls.

He was a big sweetie and brought Lila her own alumni outfit to wear.  Lila was thrilled with it and seems really taken with Anoki himself.

Though I suppose not as taken as Emmy is.  I wonder if she'll be engaged soon too!

Anyway!  Ready to see the new house?  Ta-da!

I'm so, so happy.  We couldn't build up on the foundation of the original build, so we had to start from scratch.  It still has to be painted inside and such because we reached the limits of our budget, but it's a real, actual home now!  I'm so happy.  Mom would be so proud!

And I have an actual kitchen to cook in and my own bedroom (!!) and everything.  Seriously.  Today I am truly a Bliss.

I got a letter from the college of Science and Medicine a few days ago offering me a full ride and 18 credits toward a degree.  I'm going to do it!  No, I'm not abandoning fine arts or even business.  I've decided I want all three.  I might be just a little crazy, but honestly, it gives me such a rush!

Tomorrow is Lila's first day of school.  She and Branch have been buzzing after each other outside in a variation of tag that would be completely unfair to us humans.

It's kind of inspired me.  I've always ignored my witchy genes, which I got from my mother, but seeing Lila embrace her fae-ness ... I dunno, I feel like the whole world is opening up in front of me.

Emmaline

"Soooo ..." I said.  "My roommate kissed me last night."

"Branch?" Moon said and chuckled.  "Good for him!  You're taken though."

And that was the end of that.  Moon isn't a jealous type, I suppose.  And now I have a boyfriend.  Officially.

That, of course, presented me with a problem.  The next morning, after Moon had caught his flight home ... having slept on the couch like a proper gentleman for some reason, I sought out Branch, who'd been avoiding me.  He was in his new garden.

I paced around, wringing my hands and ended up falling asleep.  When I woke up, he was reading in Lila's new bedroom.  Nice and alone and easy to talk to without eavesdroppers.

"Look ..." I said. "About what happened.  I ... can't.  We have to just be friends."

"YOU THOUGHT IT WOULD BE WISE TO TELL ME THAT AFTER CORNERING ME IN A BEDROOM WEARING LINGERIE?!" he shouted.

I see now that he had a point.

He was upset.  I think he'd been carrying quite a torch for me without my knowledge.  I dunno, without Moon ... who knows.  But there was a Moon, and now there was a haze of awkward in the house at mealtimes.

Daisy and Lila seem confused.  That, at least, is good.  Well, maybe.  Lila totally lied to me the other day and said Branch was waiting outside wanting to learn to play Xtreme Flying Disc.

We played for a good hour before realizing neither of us had proposed the idea.

Sneaky little wench.  Maybe she's onto more than she says.  When I went in to ask her what the deal was, she was sound asleep.

The next morning was the beginning of the semester.  Both for her and for us.  We stayed long enough to kiss her goodbye and give her advice.

"Study hard!" said Daisy.

"Make friends!" said I.

It was harder than ever to say goodbye to her, but education called.  For all of us (but Branch).

We rented a bigger house this semester.  Yay!

I was so happy to have arrived.  It was a relief not to round the corner and have awkward Branch encounters every five minutes.  I decided I was finally ready to ... you know.  With Moon.  But for some reason he turned me down.  He said he was tired from his flight.

So I got a head start on studying instead.  Gotta stay focused.  Lots of guys turn down Woohoo when they're tired, right?  Nothing to freak out over.

Daisy has been acting really ... odd.  Like super floaty and giggly for her.  She's also been playing with magic (color me jealous).  She came out to show me her new look for our summer semester and my jaw dropped.  She looks amazing.

Well, I was kind of jealous, and I've been thinking about growing my hair out anyway.  Maybe Moon needs to remember how hot I am so he doesn't ignore my next Woohooty text, eh?  So I bought a headband and a little sundress too.

Yay :)

Oh no! Poor Branch! My heart is breaking for him :( I was totally thinking the awful silliness of the Sims, giving a chap the "just friends" talk in your sleep wear, when Branch shouted what I was thinking. I almost died laughing. Moon sure is evasive! Maybe he regrets the commitment? Wants to keep playing the field? I'm sure Branch will be waiting with open arms should Emmy need comfort!

Poor Branch! I forgot all about Anoki being Emmy's boyfriend when she and Branch had their kiss, ha ha. Well, we'll see how this plays out!

And I thought the exact same thing about the whole "let's just be friends-while wearing lingerie" thing as both Branch and Ombradellarosa!

I was so surprised that she was up for Branch's kiss that I really don't know what to do now.  It's too easy if Moon is just a jerk, so I'm going to let things play out naturally.  Gives me a bit of anxiety not knowing where it's going or who Emmy prefers!

Emmaline

It's always so exhausting right after you get back to school.  Daisy and I fell hard asleep that first night, both dreaming about what's important, I'm sure.

It wasn't until a few days in that Daisy and I really had a chance to sit down and talk.  She announced her engagement to me, which is GREAT and all ... ugh.  So I just spat out that I'd kissed Branch and she almost died of hotdog asphyxiation.

Later I went to deal with the news of my baby sister's engagement in my own way.

I texted Moon, asking him where the living heck he'd been and if he wanted to meet me down at the beach.  I sloughed off down there, slightly juiced and irritated.  I received the shock of my life when he showed up in graduation gowns.

So, that's what he's been up to!  Honestly, I'm relieved.  I'm also relieved that he's staying on as a TA while he works on his second degree, though obviously I hope I never end up in any of his classes.

"Aw, come on, Bliss," he says.  "You know you'd be hot for teacher."

"Speaking of which," I said.  "Why'd you turn me down the other night?"

He shuffled, looking a bit uncomfortable and then said, brushing a strand of hair out of my face, "Is that really how you want our first time to be?  Via text?"

He was right.  So I glanced around, cinnamon roasting happily in the bonfire, the stars twinkling overhead, and I said, "no, I'd like it to be on your graduation night.  How about coming over?"

This time, he was receptive.

This time, there were fireworks.

Strangely after that, I was suddenly feeling way more focused and ready to work.  My blog is doing really well.  All is right in the universe.

I'm sleeping better these days too.

Daisy

So, medicine.  A new and exciting frontier for my intellectual pursuits.  It's not so bad so far!

Honestly, I think of the three, I have the most natural inclination toward art.  Which is crazy, because I am such a cerebral person and art is so ... messy!  But I still practice, even though science is really the focus of this semester.  Maybe the real thing about me is mental fickleness!

No emotional fickleness, though.  Gladsten (my fiance!) is the only man for me, and I miss him like crazy.

Not like my loose cannon of a sister.  She. kissed. Branch.  Oh, my Watcher, I don't even know how to process that.  And we haven't even been able to talk about it again because Anoki practically lives here now.

I guess I don't mind.  I wish he'd turn the stereo off when he goes to class, though.  I've been spending a lot of off time working on my magic, and I'm not super comfortable doing it in front of anyone but Emmy.

Of course, she thinks I'm being ridiculous.  After all, she'd KILL for magic powers, according to her.  She and Anoki love watching supes do crazy things on Simtube.

I just want to learn magic so our appliances will stop breaking, if we're being totally honest here.

The night after midterms (both Emmy and I got flying colors scores on our tests!) we threw another of our patented toga parties.  It was also a full moon, which is always unpredictable!

We had a few zombies show up and then immediately change into togas, which was amusing.

Our friend Liz, one of the survivors from semester one, has recently gone through a break up and was spending the whole party buried in a book.  Emmy and I conspired and I cast a love charm on her, hoping it'd get her out of her shell a little.  We went to play juice pong and waited to hear her find her new love.

Unfortunately, she found Anoki.  I don't have a shot of it, because it was so dark, but Emmy was furious.  She leapt up, and ran over to confront them, just in time to be intercepted by a police officer shouting at her for disturbing the peace.

By the time the officer was done, Anoki and Liz were both long gone and Emmy was too tired to do anything but fall asleep.  Bizarrely, the officer stayed, had some juice, and enjoyed the fire well into the morning.

I'm a little shell shocked, to be honest.  I have no idea what will happen now, and to be frank, I feel responsible for what happened.  It was my love charm, after all.

I pretended to be hard at my study when Emmy woke up to go to class.

Mostly because I didn't want to tell her what Anoki had happily confided in me the prior night.  He would be lecturing Emmy's first class of the second term.  Yay.
