Sims 3 Pets 3DS - Kittens?

I have Sims 3 Pets on my 3DS and I was wondering if my cat could have kittens. I know that I can't have nooboos on the 3DS versions of Sims, but I wanted to know if I could have kittens before I try to make an effort.
