It shocked me a bit as well when she rolled that wish but I like the Sims to have influence on their own decisions. Maybe she was just tried of waiting for Orlando and wanted to try something new. I copied the file, tried it out, and then I didn't want to go back. They were just constantly doing autonomous romantic actions with each other and I just didn't want to spoil it for them.

Technically, she has had relationships with both girls and boys (well, one of each), so I suppose she likes boys as much as girls, she just chose to be with a girl. I don't know all the technicalities to do with a Sims sexuality. I think most Sims are swayed towards a particular gender (usually the opposite one) though I think you can have Sims that will happily go either way. I don't know if that's all correct, but it's quite interesting, don't you think?

Hello, guys! Luke Bedlington here, reporting on the case of the 'Missing Wedding'. What? I need to explain? Oh, right... yes...

Well, it started on the morning of Auntie Emmy's wedding. She had a really pretty dress but she was fussing because she said she had a spot. I don't know what that is, but I'm guessing it's some sort of alien invasion that's coming to get us. We need to fight the Spots of Doom!

Daddy was in his fancy suit. Mummy had her pretty dress on but I didn't get a picture of her.

Mummy told me to put my everyday clothes on because apparently my other outfits aren't 'wedding appropriate'. What is she talking about? What is not appropriate about pirates and dinosaurs?

It was going to be a very special wedding. It was going to happen on a boat! An actually boat, with a steering wheel and everything! I was so excited!

We set sail out into the Monte Vista sea and I got even more excited. Auntie Emmy seemed worried though.

I went to sit in the front row of the 'Wedding Room' and I decided to wear a King's costume instead because I had to address my subjects earlier.

But that's when everything went wrong, wrong, WRONG! First, a lady died and the Grim came. I'd never met Grim before  but he's very scary.

And the second bad thing was that Alessandra, Auntie Emmy's fiancée (that's a fancy word Auntie Emmy taught me), didn't turn up! Everyone started going home in taxi boats! I stayed on the boat though, but Daddy went back to the port. He got to see the real wedding.

Alessandra turned up on the beach when the sun had set and that's when they got married. Daddy got very emotional about it.

New Auntie Alessandra (she said I could call her Auntie Sandra) had a makeover. She's very pretty. I think I'll marry a girl when I'm older, too.

Actually, I lied when I told you all guests went home from the Wedding Boat. I was still there with Mummy and my friend Karin (and some other random guy). I like Karin. She tells good ghost stories.

And she even has her own jet ski! How cool is that?!

That night, after the wedding, Auntie Emmy read me a book in Granny and Grandad's room. They're not here any more but we didn't want to get rid of their room, so it's exactly the same as it used to be. I like that.

What was the book? Sherlock Holmes: A Study in Scarlet. It's very exciting. Sherlock Holmes and his friend Dr Watson solve mysteries together. I want to be like Sherlock Holmes and solve mysteries. Karin can be my Watson.

Auntie Emmy thought I might have nightmares afterwards. I didn't. It wasn't even scary. Anyway, I felt safe because this was Granny and Grandad's room. It's like they were there with me.

I went to Karin's house the next day. She's got a really nice house. It's smaller than our's, but it's grander.

Karin is really pretty, just like Mummy and Auntie Emmy and Auntie Sandra. I like her green eyes.

I told her about my mystery solving and she agreed to be Dr Watson. But it's all very secret so I can't tell you everything about what we said...

Then we went to her parent's room and had a pillow fight! It was a lot of fun, though I was worried about wrecking her pillows. She said it was fine because they could just buy new ones because her Mummy and Daddy are so rich.

Hello, Luke here again!

It was a very exciting day for me today. It was my birthday! I was actually a bit worried, but Karin is a teen too now so now we can be together in High School.

Mummy had bought me a cake and I blew out the candles and made a wish (though I can't tell you otherwise it wouldn't come true!)

Look how high I can jump! Wheee!

Erm, I'm not sure about the hair. Off to the mirror I go!

... well, after some cake!

Here's my makeover. Teen clothes aren't as good as kid clothes... you can't dress as a dinosaur!

It was also Mum's birthday (I can't call her Mummy any more... it's not cool). She was becoming an adult.

She didn't look any different but she said she was having a mid-life crisis. I don't know exactly what that is (even though I'm a teen now) but I'm guessing it must be an adult thing, right?

Maybe I should talk about my sister. She hasn't been mentioned much. Well, she's just doing what any other toddler does, I suppose. Sleeping, crying and acting cute. It's an easy life.

But she's not the youngest any more. Well, I overheard Emmy and Alessandra talking one night.

Alessandra: Emmy, I really want to have kids. But how can we?

Emmy: Very easily. We can adopted a little nooboo and call them our own. It'll be just the same.

Alessandra: Really? Wow, I'd never thought of that! Do you think we could do that?

Emmy: Of course, anything for you.

So now I've got a little baby cousin named Aimee. She arrived in a basket and Alessandra was there to greet her little girl.

Here's the nursery. As a family, we made the decision to finally redecorate Granny and Granddad's room. It's what they would have wanted. It's very pink. Honestly, you'd think she was a little princess or something...

Auntie Emmy says Alessandra is a born mother. She even looks after Marion when she's got spare time (which is most of the time because she hasn't got a job yet).

But I have news of my own! It's top secret though, so I shouldn't really tell you... okay, I'll tell you!

I invited Karin down to the beach to 'do some snooping'. I told her that I'd found a bottle fragment in the sand and we needed to hunt for clues. But that's not really why I invited her...

Luke: Hi, Karin... um, I've got some flowers for you...
Karin: Oh, Luke, they're beautiful!
Luke: *mumbles* Just like you, Karin...
Karin: Did you say something, Luke?
Luke: Oh! I just said... um...

Karin: There's no need to be shy, Luke. I really like you.
Luke: Really?

Luke: Karin...
Karin: Yes?
Luke: Um...

Karin: That's better!

So, Karin and I agreed to be girlfriend and boyfriend! *Does crazy happy dance*
Sorry about that. Since I became a teen, I seem to be really excitable all the time!

Karin came to our house the next day and little Marion had her birthday just behind us.

Poor Marion, we didn't take any notice of her! Sorry, lil' sis!

She's a bit of a fashionista already! She got friendly as her new trait.

I enjoyed it all, I couldn't pick out one thing to say that was special because I think all of it is great.  Luke saying what was going on, the wedding, everyone growing up, it is all so cute, Luke is adorable.

Except for one thing.  A PINK room!  Okay, I have to admit that I am the unusual female who absolutely HATES the color pink.  My daughter had one pink dress, that I didn't buy and she wore it once to make that person happy.  She liked the color pink so when she could buy her own clothes, she bought pink, and my granddaughter, sadly, adores the color pink. 
Otherwise, I really enjoyed the chapters.  (What's wrong with yellow?    , now that is a color I love to see)

Pink doesn't really do it for me either. The only reason that I went with the pink was because of the castle wallpaper just behind the crib. I've wanted to use that as a nursery wallpaper for ages but have never had the opportunity. Then when I saw that little bit of wall sticking out with three wallpaper 'spaces', I knew that I had to use that wallpaper and have a pink nursery!
(I often have woodland/yellow nurseries because yellow is one of my favourite colours too!)

Thanks, Trip. It's been very hectic! I think the only two birthdays we'll have for a while are Hugo's (just adult, not that important) and Aimee's.

Marion is very cute and very friendly. What is it with friendly Sims in this family? 3 out of the 7 Sims living in the house are good (Marion, Aimee & Emmy... I think!) and nobody has any 'bad' traits (unless you count Luke's insane). Nobody has evil, inappropriate or neurotic, which are some of my favourite traits because they liven things up a bit.

Don't they just! I love Luke and Karin together. I knew they were going to be an item ever since I first saw her, which was Luke's first day of elementary school when he brought her home. I'm really hoping to get those beautiful Rossi genes in the next generation!

I've got so much free time as well! This year I have more than most years because we're not going on holiday so the extent of my travels will be to my grandparents for a week and maybe a sleepover or two.

I'm going on two holidays this year (one for 1 week, the other for 2) but I'm taking my laptop with me so I can get plenty of play time in. I might write up the chapters on Word then find somewhere that does free WiFi and possibly upload them then.

But Hannah has wonderful bug-eyes and a crooked nose making her look a bit like an evil witch. Your Karin is quite lovely. Nice to see such variation from the same parents.

It is very interesting seeing different genetics coming through in Townie babies. It's a shame that there's not so many nooboos around these days though due to story progression not fulfilling it's duties
