I've created a family tree for the Bedlingtons so you can keep track of who everyone is and how they relate to the starting couple.

(I haven't filled in the name of Ellie's twin in case people want to guess but I'll edit that when I announce it)

Bedlington Family Tree

Note: The family tree does contain spoilers including pictures.

I'm just going to take a random guess of Luke II. I think Luke would probably come up with that!

Chapter 28 - Toddlers, toddlers, toddlers!

I'm just going to take a random guess of Luke II. I think Luke would probably come up with that!

Yeah, I think he would think of that. Then I could have a whole story where every heir was named Luke until we got Luke XV! That would be rather funny but...

I'm almost afraid of what Luke would name his son...oh wait! Sherlock maybe?

You've hit the nail on the head!

Yes, I named my son Sherlock! Why not? What's wrong with Sherlock? Karin tried to look pleased though I expect she was dying on the inside. Maybe this is one of those times where people criticise you for giving your kid an awful name. At least I didn't call him Depressed Cupboard Cheesecake! Actually that was one of the names I'd been thinking of...

Jack, Ellie and Sherlock all grew up very quickly. Jack is a few days older than the twins, though. He's in black because it's his favourite colour (apparently) and the twins got some lovely designer clothes that we on sale.

Jack looks a lot like Mum therefore he looks a lot like me. However, he does have Dad's eye shape:

Ellie got some unexpected black hair but otherwise, she's mostly Karin:

Sherlock looks like he could be my little clone:

They are honestly the cutest little things in the world. Karin says I should try not to drop them. I won't... I think!

But they weren't the only ones growing up. Marion had her YA birthday. I couldn't believe that my baby sister was becoming an adult. I kept telling myself "She's too young! She's too young!".

She kept her pink hair, pink clothes and general pinkness. I think it's really hard on the eyes. She says that it's fashion and that I don't understand. If I were a fashion designer, I would make sure everyone dressed as hot dogs or aliens or vampires or something cool like that.

The first thing she did was sign up at the salon as a designer. But then she packed up her stuff and moved house. She said she wanted her independence and that all the toddlers (and me) were driving her nuts. She bought a little house just around the corner and she should be very happy there.

It's from Seasons  :)

Simon and Hugo are now on SwapShop! I'll be adding Luke, Marion, Casie, Bridgette, Emmy, Aimee and Karin as soon as I can.  :)

Sweet! I love the name Sherlock--it very well suits the son of an insane private investigator. :D

Haha, it's just too perfect! In fact, I knew that he was going to be Sherlock even when Luke was still a child  ::)

Chapter 29 - Old old
« Reply #98 on: August 12, 2013, 12:37:15 PM »
It's been a while since I've had a chat with all you guys out there... in cyberspace... woah, are you guys all aliens? Cyber aliens...

Okay, so the big new is that Mum and Dad both became old. Well, they were already old but now they're old old.

They both kept their original hair colours and styles. I told Dad that an emo cut looked strange on someone his age but he said after spending the majority of his life with one eye covered, he would surely become blind if it was exposed to the light. I didn't think this was very logical but I just went with it.

However, they both got new clothes. Mum went with a dress and apron because she does most of the cooking in our house. Dad decided to go with a shirt and shorts to fit in with our island lifestyle.

My little brother Jack has also been growing up. He's a child now who has followed Dad's lead of having his face covered by his hair.

We'd built him a separate nursery but it's now been redecorated to match Jack's gothic personality. It's a bit dark for me!

See, the problem with black is that there are lots of places for monsters to hide. Jack learned this the hard way.

We had a tough time getting him to sleep that night!
Jack isn't going to be around much, though. He's going off to Smuggleworth Prep School, which sounds awfully posh. He even got picked up in a limo!

Bye little brother! See you when you come back from Posh School!

I couldn't believe it either! As you can see, neither of them got a cake. That's because both birthdays caught me completely off-guard!  ;D

I can hear my dad now, You need to get a hair cut, you hippie    ;D

They have grown up fast, I was surprised to see them age to elder.  Hope they stick around for a bit, love the silliness of Luke.

If Braden in my Cage RTJ hadn't had the loner trait, I would have worked to make him a heir.

In fact, the first time I gave him that hair, back when he was a teen, my sister walked past and said 'That is such hideous hair!'  ;D

They'll be around for sometime yet... I hope. Hugo still hasn't fulfilled his LTW of becoming Leader of the Free World. I think he is 3 promotions off. He should make it because I have come up with a clever plan to raise his charisma and get funding. Basically, I use the Purple Baby Dragon to 'Summon Someone New'. They instantly become friends, Hugo asks for some funding, they happily agree, then he asks them to leave and never sees them again. Clever, right?  ;)

Actually, Hugo has the loner trait and I've never had a problem with it. In fact, he's nearly maxed charisma.

The Lone trait isn't really that bad. It's one of my favorites, as long as you try to keep them away from very large groups or sims, or just ignore the moodlet. (And when you have five other moodlets that put your sim in the high green area, I don't see that as being mean.)

That is one of the parts of this project that I like, I am having to expand my horizons on traits I have never used on sims.

Mine have always been the goody-two-shoes.  No negative traits, so this is letting me see how sims with those traits act and I am learning they can be fun.
I think part of it is that Braden in some ways reminds me of my son.  He is Bipolar and has social phobia with agoraphobia tendencies.  In other words, he hardly ever leaves the house, can't handle being around more than three or four people for very long, and gets stressed to the point where he has become sick when he has to interact with people he doesn't know.

We went to Wally world today and I spoke a couple of sentences with the cashier and he griped at me on the way home of how I didn't need to talk to anyone, just pay and leave.
As long as no one talks to him he can handle it; but if I talk to someone, or someone says something to him, when he gets home he is stressed out and it has sometimes been where he secludes himself in his room.
I know that the sims are just pixels, but I think of Josh (my son) when I dealt with Braden.
