Will lovers engage without command?

I just have a quick question. When engaging to a sim, how come the uncontrolled sim never pops the question? It just doesn't make sense that my sims always have to ask the question.

It's just the way it is.  Sims that you control will not autonomously propose, nor will other sims spontaneously propose to your controlled sim.

We've had this conversation before, although I don't recall the name of the thread.  The closest you can get to the other Sim popping the question is sometimes when your Sim is asked to move in.  Other than that, you have to control all proposals.
