Mixing disc and downloaded games

I've download the Sims 3 base game and university off origin.

I was wondering if you can buy the expansion pack discs and install them, rather than downloading?

Basically can you mix digital downloaded games and physical discs?

Yes you can. I have several physical disc's and several downloaded games.
