Building Contests 2013: 10 - Swanky Starters

The Task:
Sometimes you just can't afford to lead the glamorous lifestyle you want. Maybe the stock market crashed, maybe your parents cut you off, or maybe you grew up with greater aspirations than your wallet could accommodate. But hey, who said cheap housing had to mean cheap-looking housing? Your task is to design a luxurious home on a budget any young Sim could potentially afford.

Additional Information:
Build the most luxurious house you can without going over $16,500. You can choose whatever style you want, as long as it's expensive!

Notes:
-When the TV is turned on the lights in the living space drop to a deep blue, then return to normal when the TV is switched off.
-The fridge and stove can give great meal moodlets.
-The washer and dryer might be cheap, but they still give clean sheets and fresh clothing moodlets.
-The lower level and both rooms of the apartment should give decorated moodlets to most sims.
-Skilling objects will be able to help launch 'celebrity' careers (actor, athlete, acrobat, magician, singer).
-Single sims will have enough cash left over after buying the house to eat until their first paycheque comes in!

Beach Hut Starter is the ideal starter house for the Sim who doesn't want to compromise on views! The open plan living and sleeping area opens out onto a beach front deck, where you can have a barbecue, sunbathe or watch the sun go down over the sea.

The heavy usage of opulent wood gives the Hut a natural feel, and increases it's fire risk. Luckily there's a smoke detector!

The hut sits on a large plot of beach so there's plenty of room to expand, maybe even save up for a hot tub!

Minute Modern Espana

Stuff packs used: None, as far as I could tell.

I have thoroughly checked the house for other content and can't find any. However, Ambitions, Generations and Seasons content may be found, as well as possibly Town Life stuff.

A minute starter home styled on the exterior as a Spanish Villa, but on the inside as a modern pad. As a small studio bungalow it has no bedroom, but does have a comfortable double bed for the best night's sleep imaginable. Interior viewing not necessary due to minute size and limited sim capacity.
