Can you max the teaching career without maxing the logic skill?

I'm doing an Immortal Dynasty, and I want my sim to be in the teaching career, not because it matches her superMax, but because it fits her personality (plus the plot would love it). But I plan on having another immortal SuperMax logic. Can she max the teaching career without taking over his logic SuperMax? Can it be done?

You can max any career without ever maxing the skills that come with it.  It just takes longer.
