Problem with my witch sim?

I have a witch and two cats as a household, in a custom neighborhood (St. Claire). I have been trying to get my witch to take her cats to the cat park across town, but every time she leaves on her broom, leaving the cats behind! They won't follow her on foot (thankfully, that would take hours). Is there any way to force her to take a taxi with the cats? Or do I have to buy her a car? I really like broom riding, but it's making it impossible for her to take her cats anywhere.

Welcome to the forum.    Do you ever have her holding one of the cats before going?  Does she own a car?

Thanks! I just tried to have her hold one of the cats, and she put it down as soon as she left, leaving it behind. She doesn't own a car. I assume a car would fix the problem, but I was hoping there was another work-around.

The broom is probably the problem.  There's nowhere for the cats to sit like there is in a car or taxi.  You could use a car just for the trips to the cat park and then put it in your family inventory when you don't need it.  That way, your witch will still ride her broom when it's just her alone.
