Problems with New Patch 1.55

I was using the library to read the gardening books. It took many days of several hours of reading each day to get one level. I'll try clearing the caches and restarting my game when I get home later.

Rica, I played yesterday with a brand new Sim in a new game in DV.  My Sim was doing gardening and went from one to 4 in almost no time at all.  She got a bit of a boost with her dragon but her next levels just went according to normal by harvesting a community garden, (the Greenhouse), and tending garden.  I did not try her on any other skills.  Did not seem particular fast or slow.  Oh, she took a gardening class but did not use the library.

Thanks for the information, Joria.  I'm fairly certain the only affected Sims are games that were in process before the patch.

I tried overwatch as per a suggestion I had on twitter.  That file now works properly as far as I can tell.  Nothing is fast but it's better than it was.   Now to go back to my normal dynasty folder and see if I can get the results from before or if it's better.


Edit:  Motive Mobiles - Those experiencing slow skilling, have you used a motive mobile recently?

I have been having problems post patch with my game crashing when I tried to load from launcher. I removed all my store content and it worked. So it looks like I will have to without store content for a while.

They changed store content in a way because people were having issues with stuff disappearing.  I wonder if reinstalling store content would make it better.

As I said, twallan and Crinrict are working on figuring this out.  We're trying to get information gathered to decide what the actual cause is.

Was your werewolf at the library with a vault of antiquity or had they recently used like a motive mobile to have full needs?

Right now I am holding off reinstalling because it takes forever. Going to get a few hours of play under my belt before maybe reinstalling while I sleep.

I'm about to test doing a factory reset folder and just installing all of my content at once.  Previous to the patch this would have never worked for the amount of content it is.  But it's supposed to work so fingers crossed!

I'm going to take this conversations over the Patch problems thread but one last question - Have you gone back to main menu without saving and tried again to see if it still happened?  In other words can you recreate it using the same circumstances.

Yep, done that too! Still the same problem with skill building!

Can anyone let me know if they are having issues with any rabbit holes and people not being able to go into them?  I had a report earlier for a grocery store in LL.  Anyone else having issues?

Ok I removed my cc and its still doing the same thing it hangs and then crashes. So do I have to uninstall all the games or just a few?
