My kid won't come home from boarding school!

My sim is enrolled in Smugsworth prep school and he won't come home. His YOUNGER brother is in highschool and almost finished. I was hoping my sim would come home when his brother had his prom and I could just age him up, but he didn't. I can chat with him on the phone and un-enroll him, but I want him to graduate from there. My aging is enabled, so shouldn't have come home by now? Can anyone help?

While you posted this problem in two separate threads, I'll respond here.

You are emphasizing that his brother is younger, but you haven't indicated by how much (also, what constitutes "almost finished"?).

I don't typically use boarding schools, but I believe there are sometimes glitches to the student aging up properly. Is it a gamebreaker if the sim comes home later?

What happens when you resetsim the sim in question and/or resetsim * ?
