Are elf ears randomly generated.

This question is on behalf of my daughter. She is playing a game where her Sim has married and reproduced with the university mascot. The couple have twin boys and one of them has pointy elf ears neither of his parents do.
So has anyone else had elf ears just show up on a child?

I've never had elf-ears just randomly generate, but maybe it could be something similar to freckles, or maybe it was just a fluke.

That's weird. I've never had them randomly appear either, but it sounds cool either way.

Thanks I told her that it looks like it was just a random thing. I love having a daughter who loves the Sims as much as I do we can bond over elf ears  ;)
