Edit prices of objects?

There was a mod for the original Sims that let you edit prices and where in the catalog objects were placed. Is there anything like that for Sims 3?

It's a wee bit more complicated in Sims 3. There is a program that allows you to do it, but that delves into creating Custom Content, which we aren't allowed to link to.
