Photography - Dog Tricks

How to get photo of this subject of Collection "Pets in ACtion"?
I have tried to shoot only the dog, only the Sim, both the Sim and dog while exhibiting tricks. But I have no luck.
Please help.

Now I realize playing the Sims 3 on Mac is playing the game of installation and uninstallation...

I'm afraid I have no suggestions to offer, skybaker, as I haven't done much with photography in quite a while.  But I notice it's been some time since you posted your question, and I'm wondering if you've had any luck with getting your shot yet?
