Problem with potion moodlets

I've been playing a new family with an alchemist fairy sim. I had her make potent invigorating elixirs and potent bliss elixirs. Now whenever she takes one, it removes the moodlet from the other, even if there are multiple hours left for the other moodlet. I don't get it. I have played plenty of sims that could have both moodlets at the same time. Is it because she is a fairy?

Has anyone else had this issue? Does anyone know how to fix it?

I think it's just a way the game works; elixir moodlets don't stack.

I'm also moving this to the Supernatural board.
