I just installed it tonight and put a bakery oven in my house. I've made stuff and put it in my backpack inventory and headed down to the Bakery they released. I put the stuff on the shelves there and manned the register, but I didn't make any money. Maybe I have to wait a week or something and they pay it out then, but I can't figure it out.

You likely need to own that property to make the money.  I'm sure the current owner was appreciative of your efforts. ;)

Dellena is pretty much right mg03f.

Residential lots, such as your home lot, usually don't attract buyers.  One can work around this by inviting other Sims over to your place.

Probably the best option is to own a commercial lot such as a Hangout.  You will need to have some of the Bakery Items (such as the cash register) to run it as a business.

Additionally, if you find yourself unable to keep up baking, one can use the cheat mode on the Baker's Oven to spawn the recipe with perfect quality.
For those unfamiliar with the cheat mode:
1.  Go into Build/Buy Mode.
2.  Ctrl+Shift+C and enter 'testingcheatsenabled true' (don't use the quote marks)
3.  Press Shift and Click on the Baker's Oven
4.  Select any of the recipes that pop up.

Already had the hunch that it was something like this, from the very first picture lol

<--- Not surprised :P Just happy to see I was correct, again  ;D

This is a small thing, but I'd like to point out that the baker's station has an attached shelf that has slots for decor.

Can anyone tell me whether the sims who buy the food (from other households) keep the food? Or does it disappear like with the Savvy Seller items?

Oh, that is handy - so you can personalise! Thanks for the tip.  :)

I've only spent a few hours with it, but as far as I can tell, the food disappears pallyndrome.  Sorry if that is a deal breaker.

I tested it by adding enabling the cheat mode, and then adding customers to the family after they purchased some baked goods.

Thanks Bri. Yeah it might be a deal breaker, since I play multiple families. But then, maybe not - the food would go rotten anyway I'm guessing.

My sim owns the bakery and customers can't pick up the food in the counters.  Can anyone help please?

First, are you using the store venue or did you build your own?

Second, what is the error that the Sim is giving in the thought bubble?

You might want to try re-installing it.  Sounds like a bug as it should appear just like pies and cookies do.
