Adding threads/links/paper-clip things?

You know the funny threads/links/paper-clip things? The one thing. You know where you can add sims and clothes and patterns and hairs and buildings... . I don't know how to attach stuff like that. Please help!

You're talking about the attachment tool.  Here on this Forum, we only allow attachments when it's something for the Swap Shop.  You will find instructions here.  There is also a thread with instructions on how to upload a Sim, which you can find here.  Hopefully one of these threads will help you.  :)
