Sims 3 island paradise won't save

Not sure if anyone can help my daughter downloaded on her pc the island paradise expansion pack. She has been playing it but it won't let her save it says the family is travelling which they are not. Anyone had the same problem? Could you fix it?

Welcome, to the forum! Has your daughter tried resetsim [firstname] [lastname] or resetsim*? I'm not sure whether these would work but they might. Other than that, I'm not really sure. Hope this helps!
