No Alchemic Mastery opportunity chain

Upon mastering alchemy, my sims used to automatically get the Alchemic Mastery opportunity chain that led to receiving the Sorcerer's Stone.  Suddenly none of my sims get that opportunity anymore.  I am not playing with Into the Future and my sim has no other opportunities, but I've tried with 3 different sims, and none of them got the opportunity. 

Is anyone else having this problem, or does anyone know what might be causing it?

Do you have the Vault of Antiquity and the Arboretum in your town? Those two rabbitholes are required for the opportunity to fire.

OH!!  I did not know that.  But it makes sense since that's where you take the items - and it explains why I haven't had a problem before - I've played my Alchemists in Moonlight Falls, so those have been there.  This time, I was playing in Sunset Valley, and I did not put those there.
