I was just going to comment on the earlier update when his was posted. Congratulations for generation four, the name Sunset really is an improvement though writing the joke suggestion like Inabed would make it sound almost like a name.

What a wedding Kumquat got- the groom disappears and the bride is drunk but at least the decorations looked great, almost like having the Sim 2 wedding arch back. Good idea with the masquerade, maybe I should try that too with my Cleopatra as herself :D.

Thanks I have edited my post so the name is now Inabed. You  are right it does sound more like a real name that way.

I have been thinking, I might have to stop playing my dynasty game. The truth is I am getting bored with the sameness of it all. I feel like I am raising stepford Sims who just skill up all day, grow up,get married and bring in the next generation. I loved it for the first couple of generations but now I just don't want to play.
Also I feel sorry for my elders there is a part of me that feels that I should just let them be at peace.
I guess I am just not having fun with my Sims anymore.

Not that it really matters to anyone but myself but I have decided to continue on with my dynasty. At the end of the day it is up to me to make it entertaining and fun for me as a player. I have some ideas running around my head for storylines so I will just have to put up with Kumquat looking at me with that expression on her face that says really you want me to  play chess again.

I'm glad you decided to continue :) I think this is one of the most enertaining stories in here. If playing sims too long as elders bothers you it might be an option to not control them other than for the ambrosia, the death flowers will protect them from themselves.

If playing a Dynasty is bugging you, have you considered changing it to a Legacy? The Legacy requirements are a lot more flexible and you could mix up the generations a bit more, and you wouldn't have to keep the elders if you don't want to. I'm happy to keep reading your Dynasty as it is, I just thought I'd throw that suggestion out there.

I am hoping to have a boy for the last generation so that when the challenge ends I can move all the other immortals out and let them die. Then the last immortal can meet someone and raise a family at that point I will turn my dynasty into a legacy. Obviously generation eight could not be female for this to happen as she wouldn't be able to reproduce as an elder.
I feel like I owe it to myself to complete this challenge and maybe the hardest challenge for me on a personal level is dealing with a house full of old people. Maybe I have unresolved issues  :D.

Some voice in my sky must have been listening to me moaning about things being the same in my dynasty.

What is wrong Hebe, don't you like your ambrosia?
Its not that, why is the maid eating a peanut butter sandwich.
No idea Hebe maybe its her lunch break.
I will fire her.
No she is the best maid we have had so far yesterday she even cleaned the en suite toilet.

Happy birthday Sunset what do you wish for?
A little bit of excitement would be nice.
Be careful what you wish for sweetie. Hold on who am I talking to Sunset cannot talk yet.

Super maid to the rescue. I bet Hebe is pleased she didn't fire her now. The funny thing was after she calmly put out the fire she said I think I am finished now that will be $125. It was such great timing. You will also notice Kumquat calmly putting baby Sunset out of harms way.

Sunset has blond hair,I really would have been surprised if it were any other colour. She also inherited the Smith's green eyes. All four generations have the same eyes.

Here she is with a Mohawk. She had seen both Scarlet Dreamweaver and Millie Douglas sporting the very same hair do and saw how cute they both looked with it.

I just read that you had second thoughts about continuing this dynasty, and am very sorry for not seeing it earlier, but happy that you continue. Please, this is one of the most amusing and interesting stories, and I would really miss Voice in the Sky and all pretty girls that makes me laugh so often.
And you actually got same eyes for all 4 generations? That is really lucky, haven't seen it so far, and I was so hoping to have that.
When I got bored I also consider this as a challenge (wouldn't even started otherwise) and find something interesting for them to do, or achieve. I even have one joining Ghostbuster career (if that's the right name, I call it that way) just to make things more interesting, challenging, dynamic. And game always has something to surprise us with! That maid is golden!
Keep it up Rachel, and don't give up please!

Grandparents can be a great help when it comes to raising children.

Hebe teaches Sunset how to go potty.

Grandpa Sam teaches her how to walk.

He also teaches her how to talk.

Meanwhile Kumquat works on supermaxing logic by tutoring Antony Newby.

Kumquat I don't think you should be doing that.
Its fine Voice we are just friends.

Kumquat what are you doing?
Teaching Antony logic.
Really late at night in your night gown?
I don't know what it is voice,I felt like I was wrapped in a cocoon and now He makes me feel like a beautiful butterfly.
Your making a mistake.

For shame young lady your husband is asleep upstairs.

Happy birthday Sam what did you wish for?

Oh right I guess Bronte has that birthday wish covered.

Happy birthday Sunset.

Looking good Sunset.
Eww I have mums nose.
It will be fine Sunset honestly.
If you say so.
Meanwhile

Kumquat you are playing with fire.
Herbert will never know.
I don't know this is a small town people gossip.

What is wrong you don't look happy.
I feel so guilty!
Well you need to make things right between you and Herbert.
Why for the dynasty.
No for yourselves and your daughter.

Herbert what is wrong don't you want to..
No Kumquat I don't want to woohoo with you.
But why?
Why? because I can smell his aftershave on you.
What? who? how did you..
How did I know, the whole town knows what is going on between the two of you.
Nothing happened we only hugged.
A hug! you destroyed our marriage for a hug.
Please let me make it up to you.
Right now the only thing that is keeping me here is Sunset.
I promise I won't see him again.
I need time Kumquat I cannot forgive you right now.

Wow Sunset all grown up and going to school.
Do I really have to go.
Yes an education is very important.
I'm not that bothered about books I just want to work out.
Yes but you need an education first.
Why?
It gives you a good start in life so that when you decide what career path to take you can...
I am going to be a superstar athlete that has already been decided hasn't it?
Well yes.
So technically I have no need for school.
Oh was that the doorbell must dash.

Meanwhile Kumquat spends time with Herbert trying to repair the cracks in their marriage. She tutored him at logic at the same time. What can I say it boosted their relationship and helped fulfill one of Kumquats logic challenges.

The not so happy couple decide to go visit old pier beach.

Where they go skinny dipping together. Nothing repairs cracks like being naked in a hot tub on a beach.

Unfortunately for Herbert someone steals his clothes. Fortunately for Kumquat he is hawt with a capital H. Seriously what did she see in whats his name.

Herbert even has to drive home with just a towel on. If you ask me Kumquat looks like she is enjoying the view.
Later on that night after a little something to eat they go back to the beach and well lets just say a picture can tell a thousand words sometimes.

Nothing says forgive me like woohoo in a public place. So I am happy to report that Kumquat and Herbert are very much back together and in love.

Herbert never saw Kumquat cheating but I think he knew somehow. For a few Sim days he wouldn't talk to her and he refused woohoo several times.
It took quite a bit of effort on my part to get the two of them back on track again.
