Simbot Potent Cures

I was just wondering... When you make a Simbot it sometimes shows up as a certain gender. Why is that? And if you potent cure a Simbot what gender will it be?

The game just randomly assigns a gender to simbots. When you cure them, they live as whatever gender they presented as when they were bots (females have the "feminine" simbot body and head shape, for instance).
