My Sims managed to collect 252 different collectibles, completing 12 collections in the process.

Just plain ran out of real life time to finish up the last collections. . .

210 Collection Items = 210 points.
Multiplier = 5 complete collections = 5 X 10% = 1.00 + .50 = 1.50

Total = 210 X 1.50 = 315 points

Absolutely did not enjoy this challenge, there should be a "hate collecting" trait in game - I would definitely choose that trait in every single one of my game.

Oops sorry, made an arithmetic error.  My Sims actually got 253 collectibles, and still completed 12 collections.

This was so luck depending, it was nearly driving me crazy, and just as you think, you cannot complete that last collection you are working on you finally get that last item.

And note to myself, need to plan challenge time better, I nearly am not able to finish in time
