Art Appraiser can't Paint at any skill level

My sim can't paint at any skill level and she completed the advanced art training. I had this problem before but I can't seem to find how to fix it. I cleared my cache and restarted the game but it is still not working.

There are afaik only two reasons why you can't paint at any skill level: Her current skill level is too low or she doesn't have the special advanced art training trait (which should appear in the list of bought rewards but without icon or description).

She already maxed out Painting and did the advanced art training.

Then close your game after you played her household, open Sims3Logs.xml and search for any "Advanced" strings. There should be at least one entry.... If you completed the second step of the opportunity chain. Step 1 (Advanced Art Training) will grant you nothing (except for cash), step 2 (Skilled Painting) enables the paint at skill level options and after step 3&4 you can even paint brillant and masterpiece paintings at will.
