Two hermits?

Why are there two hermits living in the woods?  Are they the ones stealing all the insects I'm looking for? ;)

Sometimes when my Sims go camping, the hermit is a female, but other times, the hermit is male.  I think the game generates enough bugs for all of Simkind.  ;D
