do saved games disappear?
« on: June 04, 2015, 07:16:04 AM »
Hey there.

I haven't played the sims since before Christmas and I noticed that my saved games had disappeared my daughter played in January and her game was still there.

Do saved games automatically get deleted after a set time of not playing a particular file?

I'm sorry to hear about your saves.  They don't automatically get deleted.  You didn't reinstall the game at any point, did you?  Could someone have deleted them accidentally?

I've never had any of mine disappear. Do you do a lot of "save as" so there is a long list? I wonder if it reaches a certain number of files, if it will only display a certain number, possibly?

I had four saved games two dynasties and two miscellaneous. The game hasn't been uninstalled I just haven't played. There is a chance that one of my children may have deleted them I suppose.

Thanks Rachel

Go into the Sims4/saves folder and see if anything is there.  Let us know.

What Cheezey was saying was true with The Sims 3, where if you have a long list it didn't show the whole thing.  It may be true with this game also.  Do you have a long list of saves, including your childrens'?
