Sir Terry Pratchett wrote some of our very favorite books in his Disc World series.  Some of my favorite characters from that series are the witches who have such wonderful and funny characters.  My hubby and I miss him and most definitely miss the fact there will be no more of his wonderful books  So here is my take, poorly as it may be, of Esmeralda Weatherwax, known affectionately as Granny.  I hope to make Nanny Ogg, Magrat and Tiffany Aching.  Unfortunately the only thing that came close to what Granny would wear is Grim's costume and a hat with a spider dangling. (sigh)  (Oh, and she usually isn't smiling)

I so miss him.  I would like to do Tiffany Aching, both as a young child witch and then later when she became the head witch after Granny passed.  Have an idea for Nanny Ogg as well.

I can't wait to see them!

It's always sad when an icon that has had an impact on our lives passes. And writers have a much greater impact then people realise, they help shape our views of the world, they expand our horizons and teach us to look deeper into ourselves and use our imaginations to play!

Love your Granny Weatherwax . Have all the Terry Prachet books and they have moved with me three times around the world wherever we have been. (Can't do without my books and pictures.) Have had a spell living "off-grid" in the Pacific so am really relating to Island Living!
