OK, I seemed to have solved the elevator issue but I am not getting any phone calls for my band! I really want to complete the 15 gigs but I have no idea how to make the opportunity appear. I have a total of 2 band members so I am wondering what is the problem. I registered my band in City Hall and I am still waiting for the opportunity to appear.

Is there Waylon's Haunt (the club) in your town?
I think the first few gigs are there.

Is anyone here facing the problem of their band not getting gigs? Mind you, I am in week 60 now and this is so frustrating!

Gigs are opportunities, and their frequency of appearance is no higher of other opportunities.

So I think I made a big mistake! After completing the 4 star challenges, I focused on other skills like cooking and aerobics. So, I am now having a hard time getting the gig opportunities.

Don't worry, gigs are quite common (yes, I was wrong lol :P ) than other opps, so there is still hope.

OK, But then how come I am still not getting one?

I will definitely post my results here if the elusive gig opportunity comes for me! Wish me luck!

Try having all 4 band members jamming together in front of a high traffic area like the Theatre for long stretches. That may help spawn opportunities because the band members are more visible. Another thing — have every band member register as a self employed Band at the court house. It's been awhile since I've played a Band, but I'm pretty sure each member can do that, and that's important because then you increase your chances of gig phone calls 4X.

I didn't have so much a problem with getting gigs, as I did after I got them.  When the day comes to play, there is no icon on Waylons Haunt and no indication for the band to play.  Once the day was over, they got notification of missing the opportunity to play.  I was trying for the challenges, but finally gave up.  Thanks Metro, I did not know about registering at city hall.  See, I actually learned something, lol. :)

Is having 2 band members enough? I have two including my Sim. 4 is not a requirement, right?

Actually, I do believe to have an official band, 4 is the requirement.  I could be wrong, but I think it is.  I have always had 4 in my bands and have gotten a few opportunities, but not alot. :)

OK, I tried calling another Sim to my band to make it 3 members but the option never appeared! Why is this so? I am sure that this Sim can play the instruments well as I have seen her jamming with me. What should I do now?

Moreover, I don't like having 4 or 3 members in my band due to path finding issues in the game. If 4 is the official requirement, then I have no choice but to go with 4. But right now, I am having trouble asking a Sim to join my band to make it 3 members.

I have still not yet gotten any gigs though.

Make sure you're looking under the Band social when you click on a Sim. And for the record, pretty much any Sim can be asked to join a Band — their musical skill has nothing to do with it. However, if they're a celeb, you'll probably need to jump through the hoops and impress them before seeing the Band option.

It's not. Once a Sim has a single skill point in any instrument, the Band social becomes available. So, a Band could be two, three, or four Sims.

Well, first of all, let me state that my Sim is a 5 star celeb. Secondly, I can't see the Band option even though I impress the other Sim. What is the problem here? Am I doing something wrong here? Mind you, I have already formed a Band with another Sim but I want my Band to have 4 members.

Thirdly, what does forming a group do? Does it serve any purpose?
