Personal Inventory Empty in Age-Up (Toddler/Child)

I just experienced my toddler aging up to child.

Everything seemed to go well - but then I looked in his inventory where he
as a toddler had a bunny-ipad and around 10 frogs - it was now totally empty.

I was wondering if this is a bug - or is that on purpose ?

This toddler - now child is a vampire toddler/child - don't know if that has anything
to do with it. Has anyone else experienced anything like this ?

Yep. I get this every time I switch out to manage Worlds and then come back to my vampy family as well. Usually the items end up in one of the parents personal inventories.
