ALL Skins aren't working including basegame! FIXED!

Hi everyone!

I made an account just so I could find some help for this strange problem I've been having! My game seems to be broken in a really bizarrely specific way. When I went into my game the other day I noticed that my black sim had white skin all of sudden. Of course I assumed this was a default replacer skin cc glitch, so I prepared myself for the harrowing process of figuring out which skin is the problem by taking out ALL my skin mods-- but when I went back into the game with every skin mod taken out, the problem was still there.

Pictured here, when I'm outside the family in map mode and I click on the family in question, the cc skins are still there!

But when I go in to actually play, just like that it's gone... on the sim. But in the sim preview thing, his skin is still there! So what the heck?

I thought it was weird enough, but when I went in to check on the sim in cas, I discovered an even weirder problem. I thought certainly this was a cc problem, but it's overriding even basegame skins, pictured here. I can't even put basegame skins on these sims! Whatever's happening is replacing everything down to the vanilla files, even when mods are completely disabled.

And then I discovered an even weirder layer to this glitch-- when I use mods that make a female sim nude, this skin glitch comes hand in hand with a pair of painted on bra and underpants that go UNDER the actual vanilla bra/panty.

So out of curiosity I checked with the nude bottom for male sims, and the same problem is there, with underwear painted right onto the skin

After all this, even with NO skin cc, the problem persisted, I still couldn't change the skin at all. So I took ALL my mods out, 100% of my mods and cc were removed from the game, and the problem was STILL there! I don't know what to do at this point.

It's worth noting that immediately prior to this glitch, I was playing around in sims4studio doing some batch fixes, so I thought for SURE that's what the problem was. But even after putting 100% of my backup files back, the problem was still there. I'm at a loss. These are the bacth fixes I did

If anyone has additional questions, please let me know. I'm desperate for a solution for this problem, my game is basically broken until further notice unless I want to play with only white sims forever-- which I don't.

You need to clear your cache and the localthumbcache.package file in the main folder. After getting rid of your skin CC, keep only the following in your The Sims 4 folder : saves - Tray - Options.ini - Mods - Screenshots - Custom Music - Recorded Videos. Put all the rest to trash. Because as long as you don't clear your cache, some CC will still show up even if you've deleted it because it's saved and stored in cache.
And once you've chosen a new default skin, get sure that it's compatible with the toddler patch. Especially default CC. Non-default is generally safe.

I tried that, and it didn't work.

But, update! I removed ALL my mods again-- this time including the sims4studio folder, and it fixed the problem!

The only question is, which file in the studio might be causing this problem? Because... there is a LOT inside the studio folder. Do you have any ideas what could be causing this skin glitch?

I fixed it! I only just realized that I don't have to keep my sims4studio folder in my mods folder. I feel like a big dummy! Thank you for the insight though, I'll be able to do that in the future for other glitches.
