Yes, sims will basically overheat and then die. It's one of the easier deaths to make happen really as you just keep your sim in there long enough and it will happen.  :)

It make the most useful ghost too. They absorb puddles faster than sims can mop them. I know this is minor, but most other deaths have a down side like always getting large anger moodlets or sometimes killing plants if let to there own devices not cool.
