Create a Pet

Y'all, I'm so out of practice with this game!  Please forgive me if I ask the basic questions like a beginner. 

Is there a way to access Create A Pet while in game?  I've got Carina Dreamweaver all decked out in new outfits and hair, living in the new town.  I failed to create any pets while setting up the game.  Am I now stuck with only adoptions?

You should be able to go back into CAS using the cheat cas.fulleditmode and add a new sim/pet to your household. Enable testingcheats on first. Shift click your sim to go back into cas after you have entered the cheats, or click on a dresser. I'm not at my PC right now so I can't remember if you can do this without cheats.

Hi @Pam . You can also enter 'manage households' and click on a specific family and from there enter CAS/P I do that to give NPCs pets.

I want to create my real life cats and have them live with Carina.  Maybe Playalot's description will let me do what I'm trying to do.  In the meantime, Carina has adopted two kittens named Silver and Points Dreamweaver.  I like the pets better than I like toddlers in this game!

@Pam  There are some reports of game bugs when you add a pet to an already played household. i.e. your active household. I have only just found this so one way around this is to mark your household as unplayed and use Manage Households to add some pets to it and then go back and play. I haven't tested this but it might work.

Best way is to add pets while making the household. Of course, it's a bit late to the party when you've already started a game...
