Music from Edit mode plays in Live Mode (and Load screen)

I've had this problem for a while but forgot to mentioned it: sometimes when I go to buy mode to buy stuff (surprised?) and going back to live mode again, the sound from buy mode still plays in live mode, through any other song which sounds extremely horrible.
While trying to get rid of it I go back to the main load screen but even there the music from buy mode plays through the music from the main menu which gives my ears the ugliest sims music remix I've ever heard.
The only thing I could do is existing the game and starting it back again.

Unless some of you know a better way..., which I was secretly hoping for.

I had a problem where CAS music would stop playing, so I solved it by going: Menu (That '...' Button) > Options > Music > Choose any song and start playing it > Exit the menu. Try that.

This often happens to me. I have tried your solution, Simstar, but it didn't work.
The sounds that this problem makes should never be heard by human ears, so I hope that someone knows of a quicker solution than quitting and restarting.

I had tried your solution to Simstar, but for me it gives the same result as for Sybilla (nice name btw, Sybilla, sounds magical).

This has happened to me before too. Or I just loose sound all together.
Once I just went to the main menu and it fixed itself. All the other times I just had to restart my game

Wow, glad it's not just happening to me!  It's pretty annoying, usually happens when I do a lot of switching back and forth between live mode and buy mode.  I figure that it probably means it's time for me to turn off the game for a bit anyway.

I have had the same thing happen.  Went out of buy mode and back in live mode and that music is still playing.  It usually corrects itself or just restart.  It can be annoying though.  So, nope, your not the only one.

Loosing sound all together... Actually that was a new thing that happend to me too, yesterday. Maybe the game has read my post about the 'ugliest Sims music remix I've ever heard' opinion of mine and has provided me with a very intense radical solution.
Nonetheless, so nothing will help except for a restart? Than Jonna is right, the game is forcing us to take a break.

Yeah and it's happened several times to where I can't hear the sound effects and just the music. ( Like when you click on the buttons in game or sims to see the social interacts and it makes that "click" noise)
I've only had it happen once where I went to the main menu and it made a weird noise and then fixed itself. Other than that yes, I think you do just have to restart.

It seems like lately I'm getting a whole bunch of old glitches that I never used to have. Since the pets update I had the build/buy mode music in live mode too. Maybe it's a sign I've been playing far too much  For me it usually happens when I go into buy/build mode and then back to live mode quite quickly - usually I'm buying an object to satisfy a wish then selling it again. It takes forever to go away, but I don't often have other music playing so it doesn't usually bother me that much.

Wow, this an old topic.
Ive found a solution for this problem myself: let the music play. Simple as that. When the song has finished no other song will start and it sounds like the bug has never happend.
