Stop, hammer time!

Okay, I don't feel so old. You're dating yourself. Lol.

@Metropolis Man, my Sim's name for this challenge is James Taylor. Are you old enough to get that reference?

I don't know if Metro is but I am. (Will now spend the rest of the day trying to remember the lyrics.)

The singer-songwriter? Oh, heck yes. His stuff is not at the top of my list...I lean a bit more to Zeppelin, Aerosmith, Bad Company, etc....but, in the right situation *wink wink* I can do James Taylor.

(By the way @Metropolis Man I hate to be the one to point it out, but I think workingmum8 needs to be above me on the scoreboard?)

Hi, so, 8pm birthday for my sim too.

House funds is 395 181§ and Bree Coller made 19 upgrades.

If I'm right, the multiplier is 1.38, for a total score of 545 349,779

Oshizu, I'm very impressed by your 70 upgrades, so looking forward to learn what you upgraded.

We have a lot of new players this season and I just wanted to give a heads up on scores and decimal places -- I drop anything after a decimal for simplicity. Even if a score is 2345.999 I'll just drop the .999 and put 2345 on the leaderboard.

Oh, sure. It's just that I wasn't sure how to cut the number, and the '','' on the leaderboard numbers confused me as here, we only use them for decimals.

Ah, okay. Maybe the "," is just an American thing? Not sure.

James Taylor finished with 527,894 in household funds and completed 65 unique upgrades for a multiplier of 2.30.
527,894 X 2.30= 1,214,156.

America does it backwards (like almost everything we do :P ), in other countries an amount like one thousand two hundred and thirty-two hundredths would be written 1.200,32 rather than our 1,200.32 iirc.

Got it, thanks. I noticed you didn't use the decimals but I wasn't sure if you rounded it up or down which is why I just left it in so you could do what you wanted with it. :P

@Metropolis Man I barely remember MC Hammer but come on, who hasn't heard of "Hammer Time" in this day and age. On the other hand I have never heard of James Taylor and certainly don't remember him, before my time I'm afraid. So, who's showing their age now, hmmm? Lol.  :P

That quote I made was in reference to MC Hammer yes, but it was also a reference to someone else, let's see if you can get this reference, smart guy.

Quote
"YOU WANT ME TO PUT THE HAMMER DOWN?!!"

"Uh, yeah, no. Bad idea, he loves his hammer ...."

This is also the inspiration for my Sim's name.  :D

I don't know 'cause in the UK we use , to separate thousands and . for decimals. Maybe it's an English language thing.

That's none other than Tony Stark talking about Thor. Come on! Give me a challenge! Lol. Mjolnir for the win. Oh, yeah, I am all about that stuff. I am enjoying Vikings on the History channel -- they often mention that stuff since it's baked into their mythology.

Nerd Brain earned $532,881 and made 67 unique upgrades.
532881*(1+0.02*67)=532881*2.34=1,246,941 points.

So close to first place :'( Guess I just got a bit unlucky with some randomness factor.

Well, Tilly Tinker tried hard, but could not really compete with the fantastic scores other people have achieved.  I haven't managed to post a score for quite a few years, but I always like to see how everybody else is doing.  this year though, I am going to try hard to post a score, whatever it is.  I apologise in advance if the maths is not right.

$24,285 made.  20 unique upgrades. So 1.4 is the multiplier, I think, so the result is $33,999.

Good luck to those still to post.

@junegem -- great to see you back. I saw the name and scratched my head thinking...that name sounds familiar. Yeah, I looked at your last posts and it has been quite awhile since you posted a score...

Hi all,

Some fantastic scores posted, well done.  I don't have all the extension packs, but even so I know I could've done better, if I'd done some things differently.  However, my score is satisfactory, with a note to self to practise more and get better !

32 fish = 32,000
18 recipes = 18,000
13 plants = 13,000

Giving a total score of 63,000.

Perhaps Mr Fish and Ms Dish can have some time off for good behaviour now and get married finally.  It's been a long engagement, maybe they can start practising making babies ;)

Welcome back. Stick with it this year. We have great events coming up.
