My lifeguard gets no phone popup for working at home. She changes into her lifeguard swimsuit and the job is just a rabbit hole. Is that all it is. I was hoping I could go to work with her, as in the sims 3.
Sounds like you mean the Sims 4 lifeguard Career, sadly it is just a rabbit hole, there is no active part to this Sims 4 career. When it is time for work as long as your Sim is not busy, they will go to work automatically. If that doesn't happen open up the work panel UI and click the little go to work icon.
I was very disappointed that this is a simple rabbit hole career with very little substance.
