Meteor crash in game
« on: February 10, 2020, 07:20:41 PM »
I am wondering what to do when this happens.  A fiery meteor crashed on my Sim's property.  I know enough to get my Sim away when the warning sound occurs.  When the meteor crashed, there were enough brave Sims around - including mine and his butler - to put out the fires.  The problem occurred when my Sim went to pick up the "debris".  There was a scrap pile that I had him pick up and there were 700 pieces of scrap!!!  It totally overloaded my inventory and crashed my game!!  Luckily I hadn't played the game very long yesterday, so I just rebooted my computer and restarted the game.  But what can I do to avoid that next time?  I had no idea that there would be that much scrap in the very small pile.

Scrap KILLS inventories (inevitably I always forget this until someone's carting around 1500 pieces of scrap). Maybe they can be deleted or sold in build/buy mode? Moveobjects on might help (it works for gems and other collectables on a lot).

Thanks Trip.  I'll keep that in mind if it happens again.
