Do No Work/School Holidays Take Vacation Days?

I saw a post from 2018 saying that they did and it was intentional. Did they ever change it so that they don't? I want to make a summer vacation so my children can do scouting activities in Granite Falls once they're teenagers and can learn the Herbalism skill.

I don't think holidays use your vacation days?  At least I've never noticed that happening.  I have noticed that a holiday will mess up your grades at university, I did get a disappointing grade because of Harvestfest once.

Seasonal holidays don't take vacation days on normal circumstances but I don't know how it interacts with a stay in a holiday world (selvadorada, granite falls) - the bug might (have) been there.
