Aside from adding greater variety to passed down features, it can be used to give an adopted pudding-faced child some of their new parents' features. I just used on VJ and Miraj's adoptive daughter:

I love this mod. It can be found over at Mod The Sims. Just drop it into your Mods/Packages folder after extracting it.
