Prologue: Put de Lime in da Coconut

Nathan (front right): How's everyone this morning? What's on your schedule for today?
Mark (back right): Derek and I are examining that kid brought into Emergency earlier.
Meredith (back right): That kid brought here from Glimmerbrook with a head injury?
Derek (front left): Yeah, he's passed out and bleeding heavily. Probably in shock.
Mark: We're going to do some exploratory surgery to check for internal bleeding.
[

Derek: Hmmm. The boy's injury isn't as serious as we'd first expected.
Mark: Yeah, only a superficial wound and no internal bleeding.
Derek: Let's check for concussion. He hasn't regained consciousness since the accident.
Mark: *looks at the MRI scans again


In the evening
Meredith: So what's that kid's story? Have you heard any more details?
Nathan: He didn't have any ID on him, besides a textbook marked "Property of Renato."
So that's what we've been calling the mystery teen.
Mark: A man out walking his dog that night witnessed the whole thing.
He saw the hit-and-run driver speed away then found Renato sprawled on a riverbank.
Derek: Poor kid. His family must be sick with worry!


Meredith: But if he has no ID, you can't contact his next of kin, right?
Derek: I checked his file, though, and someone is paying Renato's medical bills.
Mark: And yet, we don't know who he is.  How very odd.
Nathan (blond): Actually, his Watcher phoned the hospital the Renato arrived here.


Meredith: Excuse me, but who ARE you? You're not from Grey's Anatomy…
Nathan: Nathan Beck, M.D., at your service, ma'am.
Derek: Not to be rude, but why are you here?
Renato's a Watched Sim and I've known his Watcher since last summer.

Nathan: Oh please, the three of you haven't even worked as doctors in this simverse.
If not for me, your scrubs would still consist of V-neck tee-shirts, yoga pants, and do-rags!
Meredith would be wearing a StrangerVille Scientist's white coat, not a medica doctor's.


Mark: So, you're saying this so-called Watcher has Renato's back but won't tell us who he is?
Nathan: Yes. He can slowly recover from his head trauma on the Watcher's dime.
Meredith: Derek, has Renato gained consciousness at all since his arrival?
Derek: Nope. He's been out like a light for several days now. His brain's trying hard to heal.


Two days later
Mark: It's great that our hospital's located so near a park.
Derek: Yeah, it's nice to come out here and grill our lunch. That hospital cafeteria's the worst!
Meredith: What's new with Renato, Nathan?


Nathan: His Watcher showed up this morning.
She's worried that he hasn't woken up yet.
Derek: I’m sure you explained that Renato's condition is stable but he needs time to heal.


The following day
Renato: Where am I? Who are you?
Meredith: This is the Newcrest Medical Clinic and I'm Dr. Meredith Grey.
You've been asleep for the past four days, Renato.
Renato: I have? But why? Wait, I vaguely recall a car racing toward me…


Meredith: You were knocked onto a riverbank by a hit-and-run driver in Glimmerbrook.
Now that you're awake and feeling better, can you tell us your full name and where you live?
Renato: My name? I don't remember my name! I don't remember anything at all but that car.


Nathan: Hello there, Renato!
Renato: Should you be sitting next to me on my hospital bed? Uh, my name's Renato?
Nathan: You were carrying a textbook marked "Property of Renato." Isn't the book yours?
Renato: How would I know?

Nathan: Anyway, since you don't remember your surname, I've come to suggest one to you.
How do you like Careca?
Renato: Careca. Renato Careca. Hmmmm, it's not bad. What does that mean?
Nathan: Bald or hairless.
Renato: Um, I don't think so.
Nathan: That was a joke, son. Since you were found on a riverbank, what about Costa?
Renato: Renato Costa.  That has a pretty nice ring.  Thank you, doctor! Costa, it is!


Nathan: Oh, I almost forgot! Your Watcher left this with me to give you.
Renato: My Watcher was here?
Nathan: Yes, she came nearly every day while you were unconscious.  What's it say?
Renato (sighs): Doesn't really tell me anything except to meet her when I'm discharged.


The following day
Renato: Thank you for wheeling me out front, Dr. Beck.
Nathan: You're welcome, Renato. Who's picking you up?
Renato: Did you forget that I don't remember anything or anybody?  I called a cab.
Nathan: Oh, right!


Nathan: Take care, kid. 
Renato: I will, sir.
Nathan: I know you've got your Watcher looking after you, but here's my number.
Feel free to call or text anytime, if you need anything or want to chat.


Meredith: Renato!!! Not you trying to sneak away without a good-bye hug!
Renato (uncomfortable): Um, isn't this highly unprofessional and touchy-feely of you, doctor?
Mark: And you're off to meet your Watcher. Is that right? 
Derek: Be sure to get enough rest and don't overdo it, Renato!


Several hours later
Renato: What the heck is this filthy, polluted place, Watcher?
And what about my lost memories?
Watcher: Your accident and head trauma triggered your slip into an alternate simverse, Renato.
Here, your old memories, relationships, and attachments are no longer relevant.

Renato: But why would you want us to meet here!?
Watcher: Well, the truth is… *whisper, whisper, whisper

Rules & Gameplay Settings

Challenge Rules
*I'll be playing according to general conventions for multi-generation legacy challenges.
  That is, no money cheats and no mods that offer any unfair advantage in gameplay, and so forth.
  I do use mods to prevent annoying sim behavior like the constant mess making and grabbing drinks of water.
*I reserve the right to modify any of the requirements that I draw from existing legacy challenges.
*The legacy household is free to move whenever it pleases, but especially when a requirement makes a move necessary.

Rule Tweaks
*Early age-ups: I am allowing myself early age-ups whenever I wish, except during the generation based on the Random Legacy Challenge.
  In that case, if the Random Legacy gen is Gen6, for example, the no-early-age-ups rule takes effect once the Gen6 heir becomes the active heir.
  Otherwise:
  --Newborns my be aged up after becoming Good Friends with both parents
  --Infants: Earn 10 milestones total in any category.
  --Toddlers: Max all 5 toddler skills.
  --Children: Earn an A grade, become a Llamacorn Scout, and complete at least 3 aspirations.
  --Teens: Earn an A grade in high school plus one in-range character value (positive or negative)
  --Young Adult and Adults: no early age-ups for these life stages.

Gameplay Settings
Lifespan: Normal
Seasons: 28 days  21 days
Weather: Thunderstorms/Blizzards off (except in Yukimatsu); Weather affects sims.
Lifestyles: Disabled (but may be enabled for certain generations)
Pack settings:
Enabled:  Eco Footprint Gameplay (Gen1 only),  Limit Werewolves to Moonwood Mills, NPC Relationship Autonomy,
              Self-Discovery, Rental Unit Events
Disabled: Sims Begin Opted Out of Fame, NPC Voting, Acne, Career Layoffs, Hide (Rental) Units by Default
Starting age: Teen founder
Starting funds: $20,000 to purchase empty starter lot, then cheated down to $0.

Mods
*MC Command Center by Deaderpool (Auto Bill Pay, Disable Emotional Deaths, and Pause on Zone; Auto-Marriage/Auto-Pregnancy/Auto-Moving for all sims not in active household;
  and a dozen or so other settings to facilitate smoother story progression, such as no more than 3 children per sim.
*Mods by LittleMissSam: Ultrasound Scan, 21 Days Season Instead of 28 Days, More Woodworks, Selll More Selfmade Woodworks, Live-In Business

Challenge Overview

This a Collab Legacy in the Mishmash style created by Granny Lawlor and me.
The two of us will be sharing the general requirements for some generations while playing several generations unique to our own stories.
The inspiration for each generation's requirements will be described and linked below, but only after I've completed all the requirements of said generation.
My legacy challenge will include two generations for which I created the requirements myself.

Generation 1: Renato
This generation's requirements are based on From Dumpster to Deluxe by Candacis.
Besides the house-related requirements listed for Renato in "Meet the Costas: Generation 1," the general challenge rules are as follows:
* May only use furnishings found in dumpsters, crafted by you, or bought at the Flea Market
* May only sell items via vendor table, Street Gallery, or retail shop (no Finchwick stalls or Plopsy).   
   Maximum markup: 100%
* May only replace burned items using Smog Vacuum (no Repairio spell).[
* May use essential items (sink, toilet, shower, fridge, stove, computer, books) on other lots
   only AFTER having found/crafted them yourself AND placed one on your own lot.
   Exceptions: Activity/Skilling objects available on community venues, including GeekCon's rocket ship.
* Marriage requires: 1 bedroom (double bed, light), 1 bathroom (sink, toilet, bath or shower, light),
   and 1 dining/kitchen (fridge, sink, counter, stove, table, chair, light).   
* The same rules apply to the spouse, who may not have a career but may sell items that don't produce royalties
* Final home:  3 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, Kitchen, Dining, Living Room, Study, Pool, Garden.
   (Wall/floor coverings in every indoor room)

Rule modifications
*Started with a teen, not a young adult, founder;
*Added teen requirements
*Added requirements related to skills, aspirations, marriage, children's names, and the retail shop
*Allowed integration of the More Woodworks mod.

Generation 2: Winona
Winona's requirements riff of Gen 6 "Verdant Heart" of simzcoolstar's The Collection Legacy. It's quite a simple challenge:
*Collections: Plants, Magic Beans, Decorative Eggs
*Suggested traits: Loves the Outdoors, Vegetarian, Genius
*Suggested aspiration & career: Freelance Botanist; Gardener/Botanist

Besides additional requirements regarding skills and aspirations, I have also added the following:
*Move to an empty lot as a teen then cheat your funds to zero; Lot challenge: Simple Living
*Fall in love with a fellow Nature Enthusiast (a sim with the Green Fiend or Loves the Outdoors trait)
*and three more yet to be revealed
