The 2025 Sims 4 Challenge Tournament season launches with a simple speed race -- perform 25 unique handiness upgrades across multiple lots. Grab those wrenches. On your mark. Get set. Go!



Challenge Rules

• Remember, the General Rules apply to all Tournament challenges. Exceptions may be noted below.
• Create one Young Adult Sim — any life state.
• No Household additions.
• Insta-Upgrade from Nerd Brain is banned.
• The name of each upgrade must be unique. For example: Self-Cleaning can only be used for one upgrade. (Self-Cleaning on a Sink and Self-Cleaning on a toilet are the same upgrade.)
• Each unique upgrade must be completed on a different lot.
• This challenge concludes when your Sim has finished the 25th unique upgrade.

Scoring

Time: When you complete all 25 unique upgrades, pause your game and note the week, day, and time and plug in the necessary information into this spreadsheet to obtain your Total Time, and then post your score in this thread.

Ch-Ch-Changes
The team does not want to edit and make changes to the ruleset once this event goes live, but we may have to. If an exploit is brought to our attention or we discover something else we may ask affected players to redo their effort.

My focus with any Handiness challenge is to build the Handiness Skill as quickly as possible to be able to utilize the Levels 7 & 10 perks (plumbing and kitchen upgrades in half the time).

Hannah Handy:
Aspiration: Nerd Brain — Bonus Trait: Quick Learner (faster skills)
Genius, Overachiever (faster skills), Insider

I moved Hannah onto the empty lot, Pebble Burrow, in Oasis Springs. The first thing I did was shop for Aspiration Points so I could immediately purchase Always Welcome, a couple Focus potions, and a Moodlet Solver potion before she went out into the worlds to upgrade. I changed the lot type to Tiny House and built a small room for the Micro House classification (faster skills). In the room I put a Desk, Chair, Computer, and some Focus Lamps. I set the Lot Traits to Homey (faster Handiness skill), Peace & Quiet (faster skills from reading), and Study Spot (faster skills). On her home lot with all of the skill perks, she very quickly read a Handiness book to Level 2 so she could start upgrading. All remaining skill building was gained by upgrading, not reading. She used the computer to purchase a lot of each upgrade parts so she would be prepared for any upgrade.

Hannah created a club, the Helping Hands. She rotated Sims from the default pool of Sims to gain faster access to their homes. She never spent time introducing herself to or chatting with anyone. Club activities included reading, sleeping, play video games, and workout - these activities kept the club members from interrupting Hannah. While Hannah was upgrading things, the club folks would earn club points so she could get the Handiness club perk (faster skills). Once she hit Level 10 Handiness, she ditched the club and went solo.

On the afternoon of the first day, Hannah joined the Good Timers Club. This gave her the ability to use Rally the Troops in her Helping Hands club. She utilized Rally the Troops once or twice and one Moodlet Manager to eliminate needs from her short life.

I just wanted to jump in and say hi to everyone. I miss you guys. It feels weird to be a spectator of the challenges, but at the same time, it is a nice break to have extra free time for other games I enjoy. Congrats on the win, @mismck. True story -- Misty is in my Shop Titans guild (as is LenaLJ). So, in the most recent Shop Titan's guild weekly event, Misty takes a screenshot of her point total, which is higher than mine, and sends it to me in Discord! Somehow, she thought I was unaware of this horrible fact and needed to be reminded. Too funny.
