Fish appeared in my inventory

I just had some fish appear in my inventory, and was wondering if they got there from jumping into the pitt? Has anyone else had this happen, or noticed this happen? I haven't been fishing, and I didn't get any notices when I jumped into the pit to say that I had recieved the fish... strange...

Maybe you bought the fish at the Village Shoppie and forgot about it?  :)
